The important keys of being a Good Disciple:

1. It begins with you my friend.
2. Yes, we must be willing to be discipled.
3. If the answer is yes, i'm willing, then look out for your immediate leader/supervisor because that is the starting point where God wants you to begin with.
4. Once you're open and willing then do convey it to your leader willfully.
5. Embark on the journey. Make yourself available, accept every criticism to be transformed trusting that your leader is and will be constructive in all manner, let not your emotions overtake you or rule you, pray stronger and continuously seek for God's grace.
6. Do not underestimate the power of correction and rebuke. It costs us but worth it. It comes with a huge price tag. Remember, every penny will be paid off well in God's timing.
7. Keep your focus right, discipleship is not feeding our egoistic esteem, it's the squeezing out of the puffed up fats. I know that's painful...
8. And remember, discipleship molds our character not purpose. Try to maintain a distance between the both. Otherwise most probably people become critical towards the whole process when it doesn't meet their 'purpose' or 'agenda' in the end.
9. Enjoy every moment with God.

Bless you,

Reward for suffering

Gen 1:2 says, "Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters."

Bible mentioned of waters and deep from the very beginning before God even created anything. Waters deep resembles deep truths of the Bible such as Holy Spirit, water baptism, Word of God etc.

Yet, this evening, while I was enjoying the pleasant sound of the waves and the splendid view of the beach side, I realized one parody.

Oceans, though as beautiful as they are and pleasant to the sight, it has the capacity to hold the enormity of terror. Garbage, fuel, sinking ship, crashed plane, dead bodies, etc. etc., yet it never complaint about its Creator. It is always as beautiful in its splendor.

Bible says that the whole universe declares His glory.

When I compared this view with my life, I felt all the more challenged and encouraged at the same time to rejoice and thank God for all that is happening in my life right now.

Bible says that God is always mindful of us. He treat us as pupil of His eyes. He has engraved our image in His palm. He knows us by name. He even knows the number of hairs on our head. He will not allow us to go through any temptation that we cannot bear. He knows our potential and what we are worth. He knows our capacity and what we can and cannot handle. He knows, He sees and He understand.

Many a times I have also complained to God that He might not be aware of what's happening in my life. But His gentle whispers always reaffirms that "His strength is made perfect in my weakness and when I have been through the sufferings of life, I will receive the crown of glory".

Like deep oceans, I pray and ask God to enlarge my capacity of holdings so that whatever comes in my life, successes or failures, I would be able to stand firm with the rejoicing heart, declaring His righteousness and majesty through my faith and love for Him and people.

Praise the Lord!
